...without going on a diet, eliminating your favorite foods, or spending hours in the kitchen or gym
Even if you've already done a lot of work to change the way you eat, by learning how to address the root causes of PCOS you can:
Maybe you've had those moments when you decide that you're going to do something about your PCOS once and for all...
You tried keto, counting calories or macros, WW, Whole 30, Paleo, giving up gluten, dairy, sugar, trying intermittent fasting, or some other plan.
And it worked for a little while... until it didn't. And by "worked," I mean, maybe you lost a little weight. But it didn't seem to make too much of a difference in your symptoms or your cycles... and you regained the weight within a couple of months after stopping. You maybe even wondered why you even bother trying at all, and probably felt like a failure because you couldn't "stick to it."
Or maybe you bought a "hormone balancing" supplement online... but is it even possible that it made your symptoms worse? What the heck?
Most "PCOS plans" fail because they don't take into account the individuality of the person with PCOS. Diet and lifestyle recommendations for someone who is overweight with insulin resistance should look very different from those for someone who is lean with high adrenal hormones.
Without addressing the root causes of YOUR PCOS, you're basically slapping band-aids on a gaping wound. It's like playing a game of whack-a-mole trying to address all of your symptoms.
If you don't get at those root causes, the symptoms are just going to keep coming back and probably even getting worse over time.
I'm sure you've even seen that for yourself if, say, your doctor put you on the pill to "regulate" your periods. How were your periods when you went off the pill? Likely worse than before if you're anything like my clients. And acne and hair loss tend to come raging back after stopping the pill too. And to make things EVEN worse, you probably had a whole slew of NEW symptoms because of the side effects of the pill – nutrient deficiencies, microbiome (gut) disturbances, and worsened insulin resistance.
Unfortunately, most of the information out there on PCOS comes from untrustworthy sources. There are so many "PCOS coaches" out there who tried something that "worked" for them and now they teach everyone to do what they do.
You can see why this is problematic, right? Why a plan that got Sarah pregnant or that helped Hannah lose weight may not have the same effects for you if the root causes of your PCOS are different from theirs.
BUT, even if you feel like you've tried "everything" before, it's still possible to get to the bottom of YOUR root causes of PCOS with the right expert guidance...
That is... if you're willing to try something entirely new.
There is no one right diet for all women with PCOS. No... all women with PCOS do NOT need to eat low carb, give up gluten and dairy, count calories, or avoid sugar like it's the plague. Instead, you should be eating a diet that is tailored to your symptoms.
It's just a fact that women with PCOS metabolize food differently from women without the condition. This means that you could eat the same exact food as your friend, but in your body it would have a different effect.
Most generic diet plans do not take into account the metabolic differences that are present in PCOS. "Calories in, calories out" does not apply in PCOS (and, frankly, it's old science anyway).
By eating in a way that addresses insulin resistance, inflammation, hormone imbalances, and gut imbalances, you can finally start to see changes in your body and your symptoms. We don't focus on the scale, but instead focus on the root causes... and only when hormones are in balance will the scale begin to move, if that's what you want.
Did you know that the #1 cause of binges is a restrictive diet? And did you know that the #1 predictor of future weight gain is having been on a diet, ever? (Yes, dieting even once makes you more likely to weigh MORE in the future than you would have if you'd never dieted at all.)
Most PCOS books and diets will tell you that you need to completely cut out a long laundry list of foods. (I can't even tell you the crazy stuff I've seen. Canned tuna? Why???)
This is completely unnecessary! By making small changes and adding PCOS-supporting foods to your diet, you'll get far better results than by trying to cut foods out. I promise. And you'll feel better doing it.
I already talked about the PCOS "coaches" giving random nutrition advice based on their own experiences, not on evidence.
But even medical professionals are not immune. Did you know that there is literally not a single study on PCOS and gluten, for example?!
Fortunately, there is plenty of good data on what works for PCOS and what doesn't. And I have the clinical experience of having helped thousands of women with PCOS gain control of their symptoms in a sustainable way.
You already know that restrictive diets that eliminate all of your favorite foods don't work for the long-term for PCOS. And you know that you shouldn't trust most of the information out there on the internet because it doesn't come from reliable sources. AND you know that treating the symptoms as they pop up is just a slippery slope. But I want to tell you that there is a better way. The key to finally gaining control of your PCOS symptoms is by addressing the root causes behind them.
And, with your permission, that's what I'd love to show you how to do.
Introducing

5. Is based on real scientific evidence

What people ask before signing up for The PCOS Root Cause Roadmap
You will gain IMMEDIATE ACCESS to Module 0: The Science Behind the Symptoms and Module 1: Insulin Resistance — The Not So Sweet Basis of PCOS. The remaining modules will be released weekly. You will have LIFETIME ACCESS to the course materials.
You'll be able to watch the videos and complete the activities in approximately 1 hour per week for most of the modules. Additionally, the yoga videos provided each week are approximately 20-30 minutes each.
A limited number of vegetarian options will be included in the recipes and meal plans, as well as gluten-free and dairy-free options. Note that I do not recommend a 100% plant-based diet for PCOS because it is simply too hard to achieve blood sugar balance without working one-on-one with a dietitian. You can always substitute in your preferred foods into the recipes.
This course was developed by Melissa Groves Azzaro, RDN, LD, and is evidence-based. It is the ONLY course available taught by a licensed registered dietitian that focuses on the root causes of PCOS and is not focused on fertility alone. It is NOT a diet. It is an entirely different way of treating PCOS than anything else you may have tried before.
Actually, the course is an ENORMOUS value. It is giving you access to the same coaching and materials Melissa uses with her one-on-one clients—at about ONE-SIXTH of the price. And unlike many of the courses out there designed by non-medical professionals, you can rest assured that the information contained within this course is medically accurate and safe. When I shared this course with fellow colleagues, they thought I should charge AT LEAST $2,000 for the value of the materials it contains.
I'm guessing you've been struggling with your symptoms for a long, long time. I'm not here to sell you some "miracle cure" that will undo all of that in just 6 weeks. Some symptoms respond faster than others. (For example, for my clients and for the women who've gone through the course already, skin tends to clear quickly; weight starts to shift after around 4-6 weeks; regular periods resume around 6-8 weeks; hair growth or hair loss can take 6 months to a year of consistent action to even begin to show signs of improving.) Obviously, what you get out of the course also depends on your commitment. I can give you the information, but I can't make you follow it.
This course is a self-study course. Melissa will be active inside the group Facebook group to answer questions about the course; however, more personalized advice requires working one-on-one or in a group program with Melissa.
Yes! This is NOT a diet plan. Additionally, any supplements discussed will be clearly noted when they are not pregnancy- or breastfeeding-safe.
Yes, technically. Because there is no one-on-one time with Melissa in the course, it IS available for purchase outside the U.S. However, please keep in mind that Melissa is a US-based dietitian, so recipes are in U.S. measurements, recommended labs are available in the US and ranges are given in US measurements, and foods, supplements, and other products mentioned within the course are all U.S. based.
If you said “yes” to even 3 of the above, I can’t wait to meet you inside the PCOS Root Cause Roadmap!
Imagine yourself in just 6 short weeks...
Really understanding WHY PCOS makes you feel the way you do and what to do about it
Feeling less snacky and having fewer carb cravings
Having the energy you’ve always wished you had so you can do the things you want to do
